Monday 10/23/2023 training consisted of members of Luling VFD learning and refreshing their knowledge of forcible entry utilizing Forcible Entry Prop. Firefighters were trained on forcible entry of both in-swinging and out-swinging doors. Training Chief Stephen Stromeyer instructed the class with assistance from Career Firefighter, Andre' Poteet. The Forcible Entry Prop is a comprehensive training tool designed to imitate a variety of entry barriers faced in fire service. It equips firefighters with skills needed to force entry through various door types . This skill is an essential part of firefighter techniques utilized to gain quick access which in turn can save lives.
