Fire Chief Honored for 50 years of Service

On January 18th - Luling VFD held its annual Installation of Officers and Awards Program at Legacy Venue.
This year the department honored Chief Barry Minnich for 50 years of service to the Fire Service and the Community of St. Charles Parish Fire District No. 2.

In October, Luling VFD hosted a Weekend Fire School, Flowing on the River. We were honored to have Paul Combs as one of the instructors. In addition to being an instructor and a retired firefighter, Combs is also an accomplished artist whose art takes a critical and humorous view of social and cultural issues and flips them sideways to reinforce life-lessons on how we should act as humans and as leaders. ... Vehicle Fire Training - Multiple Departments

Mondays are for training !! Yes, we train a lot. The more we train the better prepared we are to serve our community. Not only our district but also St. Charles Parish - as departments work together on mutual aid calls. This is another reason that multi department training is important.
