Luling Fire Fighter, Andre’ Poteet was recognized by the VFW at this morning’s breakfast. Poteet was the recipient of the “Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America – Life Saving Award”. This award is in “recognition and appreciation of life saving action while protecting others in the line of duty”. Poteet was recognized for his quick actions on the scene of a medical call involving a child bitten by a dog. Poteet’s competency and quick actions are credited with saving the child’s life. Luling VFD is proud of Poteet’s accomplishments and appreciates the VFW’s recognition.
Luling VFD would like to extend our thanks and great appreciation to the VFW and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for once again providing this event and would also like to thank all Veterans for their service to our country and our community. |
