Monday's joint training with Hahnville VFD was Part 2 of 2 - Ventilation "hands on" training. Firefighters were divided into groups and participated in learning the proper usage of chain saws and roof saws, roof ventilation techniques, and hydraulic ventilation techniques. We thank our instructors: Training Chief Stephen Stromeyer, Career Firefighters Andre Poteet and Noah Allshouse, and Captain Benny Raziano.
Being a firefighter requires a lot of dedication to training to learn and refine techniques to better serve our community.
