I am pleased to welcome you to the Luling Volunteer Fire Department website.
The Luling Volunteer Fire Department is one of nine fire departments in St. Charles Parish. Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, providing service to Fire District #2 which encompasses the towns of Ama, Boutte and Luling. Operating out of four fire stations the Department covers 33 square miles and has a population of 16,000 residents.
The Luling Volunteer Fire Department is an outstanding organization of 45 dedicated volunteer members and 5 paid personnel. The Fire Department provides services in Fire Suppression, Rescue, HazMat, EMS, Fire Prevention and Education. In 2017 The Department has responded to over 600 calls for service.
It is proud to be recognized as a Class 3 department by the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana "PIAL". PIAL grades municipal areas in terms of fire protection (Public Protection) capabilities for the purpose of fair insurance rating of the graded areas; on a scale from 1 to 10 with the lower number being more efficient.
