The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly of Fireground Rescue
On Monday, July 29th, members of Luling VFD and Hahnville VFD participated in classroom training on The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly of Fireground Rescue. The training was conducted by Sam Sparacello, Chief of Training, City of Hammond Fire Department and coordinated by Luling VFD Training Chief Stephen Stromeyer.
The theme of training was “put tools in your toolbox and improve creative thinking that will provide firefighters with the best chances of positive outcome”.
Topics included, but were not limited to: Tactics, Culture, and Mindset; The Winning Formula: Conditions, Confidence, and Closeness; Skills Building; Investing in your “job”; Positioning; and Core Confidence.
