Joint training was held on Monday, 2/19/24, with Luling VFD and Hahnville VFD. This week's training covered new vehicle design and alternative fuels. With vehicles evolving today to include electric and hybird vehicles, and with the use use of alternative fuels increasing, firefighters are trained on the proper way to extinguish a fire, disconnect the power source, how to place cribbing for stabilization, and what to look for when extrication must be performed.
