Response to helicopter crash

Luling and Paradis VFD's were dispatched to a possible helicopter crash in the marsh north of Magnolia Ridge Road, Boutte. Upon arrival at scene, local citizens using a utv transported St. Charles EMS and Paradis VFD FF/EMT to the scene. Two occupants of the helicopter, including the pilot and a passenger, were located at the crash site and transported to a local area hospital with extensive injuries. The body of a third man was found under debris. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Assisting agencies include Entergy crews, Bayou Gauche Volunteer Fire Department, St. Charles Parish Public Works, St. Charles Parish Emergency Medical Services, U.S. Coast Guard, and St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
