Members of the Luling VFD and the Paradis VFD attended a two day Large Animal Technical Rescue class hosted by the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter on May 12-13, 2022. The class consisted of in depth classroom and outdoor technical rescue techniques related to large animals such as horse and cow entrapment, animal trailer involved crashes and rollovers, harnessing and lifting large animals, and handling large animals. The class also taught techniques for rescuing small animals such as dogs and cats.
