Luling VFD hosted a weekend fire school, April 12th and 13th, at the training facility located behind Central Station on Paul Maillard Road in Luling. Just after 2 pm. Tuesday, 4/2/24, Luling VFD was dispatched to a garbage truck on fire in the Willowdale area. Arriving units advised that smoke was showing coming from the rear of the truck. Water began being applied. The contents of the truck was dumped to allow firefighters to locate the fire and extinguish utilizing foam.
