Each year Bayer presents to one of it's Emergency Response Team Members the James E Beard Emergency Responder of the Year Award. This award is named in memory of James E Beard, who served on their Emergency Response Team from 1975-1997 and presented to the Most Outstanding Emergency Response Team Member. Beard also served as Fire Chief of the Luling Volunteer Fire Department. We are proud to announce the 2023 recipient is our Assistant Chief, Dean Bergeron.
