Luling Volunteer Fire Department receives new apparatus!

The members of the Luling VFD are very excited and proud to place into service two (2) new engines that will be located at the Luling VFD Central Station, 1603 Paul Maillard Road and Station 22 located at 67 St. Anthony Street.

After years of saving funds and committee meetings to develop specifications the upgrade to the department’s response apparatus has been completed with this delivery. The new engines allow the department to retire a 30 year old engine and a 27 year old engine.

The department has purchase two (2) E-ONE Custom Pumpers on a Typhoon Chassis, 350 HP Cummins Engine, 1500 GPM Pump, 720 gallon water tank with 60 gallon foam tank.

Purchased from Sunbelt Fire , 8050 McGowin Drive, Fairhope, AL through the state bid requirements.

The new engines are equipped with the latest technology and meet current NFPA Standards which offers improved safety features for the Firefighters. In addition, the new engines provide the department with improved capabilities by having a 1500 gallon per minute pump, foam system and a remote control operated master stream system.
