| Finishing off March training with FDC and Stand Pipes. On March 23rd classroom training was conducted by Training Chief Stromeyer. Fire Department standpipes are essential vertical piping systems in buildings that provide firefighters with immediate water access at various floors, acting as indoor hydrants to supply hoses for extinguishing fires, especially in taller buildings and includes different classes. Items covered included NFPA stats, types of systems, how each system works, usage of FDC / standpipes, components and challenges, and the use of high rise packs. On March 30th - Hands On Training - As always, following classroom training is hands on. Practice what you learn at the training grounds.
