On Monday, February 10, 2025, Fire Chief Barry Minnich was honored by St. Charles Parish with a proclamation from the Parish President, Matt Jewel, in recognition of 50 years of service with the Luling Volunteer Fire Department and the citizens of St. Charles Parish Fire District # 2.
